Brief History on the Creation of the Vehicle
The Jos Hover Medical Extraction Carrier is a logical piece of support equipment to have. It is one of the oldest pieces of Gohorn technology along with the Hover tank because of the necessity to remove injured warriors from battle quickly and dress their wounds. This version of the carrier is based off of modified and enlarged plans for Laktan Armored Personnel Carrier structural designs, because of the versatility of that construct. However the ship is also outfitted with medical equipment, thus reducing its maximum capacity.
Whilst the structural concepts used for the Laktan have carried over to the Jos, this is where the similarity ends. The need for medical extraction demands that the injured warriors be removed from the plane of battle as quickly as possible, therefore the Jos has been outfitted with the first Gohorn "dual-hover-engine," which allows it to vary its height depending on the need for extraction away from the battle.

The Jos Carrier is not a mobile hospital. Whilst it contains some medical equipment for treating patients, the carrier's main function is to keep the injured alive long enough so that they can get specialist help at one of the battle triage facilities. The Carrier is not designed for combat, only to remove itself from it.
